Mission and Methodology
A research-backed approach to identifying effective configurations for personal finance and digital privacy.
I have maintained a focus on personal finance, digital security, and tool efficiency since 2010.
This project originated from a need for documentation that balances technical detail with practical application. Many resources are either too generalized for meaningful action or too specialized for daily use. jason.guide provides a middle ground: documented configurations that have been validated through consistent use.
These guides serve as a public record of my personal setups. The recommendations are based on long-term testing, objective data, and the specific requirements of a modern digital workflow.
Research Methodology
Validation Period
I do not recommend services or products without a minimum 14-day evaluation period. This ensures that the utility of a tool remains consistent beyond the initial setup.
Independence
I do not accept paid placements or sponsorships. All recommendations are based on objective utility or personal preference validated through use.
Process Transparency
I document both the successful configurations and the failed experiments. Understanding why a specific tool was rejected is often as valuable as knowing why another was chosen.
How This Site is Supported
Building and maintaining these guides takes hundreds of hours of research and testing. To keep the content free and independent, I use a simple model:
